Youths from different communities in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State on Saturday stormed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in protest, accusing the local government chairman of hijacking electoral materials meant for the ongoing Anambra South senatorial by-election.
The aggrieved youths, who expressed anger over what they described as an attempt to manipulate the process, demanded immediate intervention from INEC officials and security agencies to ensure free and fair polls in the senatorial district.
Security operatives have reportedly been deployed to the area to forestall a breakdown of law and order.
