Three suspected IPOB members have been arrested by the Imo State Police Command following a tactical operation at a suspected terror base in Okigwe. The raid, conducted in the early hours of Thursday, April 17, 2025, was the result of actionable intelligence and collaboration with local vigilantes.
According to police spokesperson Henry Okoye, the suspects—Onyekaba Ikenna Innocent, Ugwu Ikenna, and Ofor Kasarachi—were captured after a brief shootout, while two others managed to escape. The police recovered an AK-47, two pump-action shotguns, eighteen live cartridges, various electronic devices, and ₦10.3 million, which is suspected to be IPOB operational funds.
