In a vibrant celebration of African storytelling, Saliu Badiu and Ayanmo Yakub clinched the Best Art Direction award at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) for their stunning work on ‘Lisabi: The Uprising.’

Their visionary set design and intricate visual detailing breathed life into the historical epic, which explores the resistance of the legendary Yoruba warrior Lisabi against pre-colonial oppression.
