Atalanta are reportedly on the verge of parting ways with head coach Ivan Jurić, with Raffaele Palladino lined up to take over the reins of the Serie A club.
According to an X post by Fabrizio Romano on Monday, Romano posted, “Plan confirmed: Atalanta are on the verge of sacking Ivan Jurić to appoint Raffaele Palladino as new head coach.”
The club, known for its attacking style and competitive performances in both domestic and European competitions, has endured an inconsistent start to the campaign, prompting management to act decisively.
Palladino, a former Atalanta player and current youth coach, is expected to be officially appointed in the coming days. The 41-year-old has built a strong reputation within the club’s academy system and is seen as a promising option to stabilize the first team while maintaining continuity in Atalanta’s playing philosophy.
Ivan Jurić, who previously managed Torino, joined Atalanta with high hopes of building on the club’s recent successes. However, the team’s recent form has not matched expectations, leading to mounting pressure from fans and the board.
Although Atalanta have yet to make an official announcement, sources indicate that both parties are in the final stages of negotiations to formalise the coaching change.
