Ozubulu, Ekwusigo LGA, was charged with excitement as the APC governorship candidate for Anambra, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu (IKUKUOMA), and his deputy, Senator Uche Ekwunife (IYOM), openly endorsed Sir Azuka Okwuosa for the Anambra South Senatorial seat during the grand finale of his thank-you tour.
In a moment of celebration, Senator Ekwunife broke into a victory chant, singing: “Winner ooo, winner… Azuka you don win ooo… you go win again ooo.”
Addressing the crowd, Ekwunife described Okwuosa as “already a senator,” praising his leadership qualities and capacity to deliver beyond expectations. She said he is the man for the job and can surpass the achievements of the late Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
The APC deputy governorship candidate urged the people of Ekwusigo Local Government Area to rally behind the party’s candidate in the August 16 bye-election, stressing that “a vote for APC is a vote for Azuka Okwuosa.”
Her endorsement, alongside that of Prince Ukachukwu, was seen as a major boost for Okwuosa’s candidacy ahead of next Saturday’s decisive poll.
