Wrestling legend, Terry Bollea, popularly known as Hulk Hogan, died from a heart attack, according to a new report by the Pinellas County Forensic Science Centre in Florida.
Page Six on Thursday reports that the former WWE superstar suffered an acute myocardial infarction. a sudden blockage of blood flow to the heart muscle, which led to his death.
The report also revealed that the 71-year-old had a history of atrial fibrillation, a condition marked by irregular heartbeats, as well as chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a type of blood cancer that affects white blood cells.
It was not previously known that Hogan had cancer.
The medical examiner ruled the manner of death as natural.
According to the cremation summary approval report, Hogan went into cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida, home on July 24 and was rushed to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A spokesperson for the medical examiner’s office told Page Six that while a request for cremation had been received, the actual date had not yet been confirmed.
