The Nigerian Presidency has confirmed that President Bola Tinubu is still directing national affairs from Europe, where he has been for almost two weeks.

In a statement on Thursday, Special Adviser Bayo Onanuga said Tinubu, who moved from Paris to London, is “fully engaged in Nigeria’s governance” and maintains “constant communication with key government officials.”

Onanuga noted that Tinubu has instructed security chiefs to tackle new security threats. The Presidency described the President’s absence as “temporary” and part of a scheduled two-week working visit. Tinubu is expected back in Abuja after Easter.

“The President’s commitment to his duties remains unwavering,” Onanuga assured, adding that “governance proceeds without interruption” during his absence.
